Deleting your data

Last updated 21 September 2026

There are three different things you might want deleted, and they are not the same. Pick the one that describes you.

You connected a social account to an agency

Perhaps you are a business whose agency asked you to connect Instagram or a Facebook Page. You can take that back yourself, at any time, and you do not need us:

  • From the link they sent you. Open it and press the ✕ next to any connected account. It is disconnected immediately.
  • From the platform. Facebook: Settings → Business integrations. Instagram: Settings → Website permissions. TikTok: Settings → Security → Manage app permissions. Google: your Google Account → Security → Third-party access.

Either way we delete the access tokens for that account straight away and stop being able to act on it. Posts your agency already published stay on your platform, because they are yours and only you can remove them.

You have a Lyra account

Write to [email protected] from the address you sign in with, and say you want your account deleted. We remove your sign-in details, and — if you are the last owner of a workspace — everything in that workspace: connected accounts, scheduled and published posts, uploaded media, messages, and results.

We do this within 30 days and confirm when it is done.

You want a copy first

Ask at the same address and we will send you what we hold about you in a machine-readable format, before deleting anything.

What goes on its own

Some things expire without anybody asking:

  • Direct messages, after 60 days.
  • Comments, after 30 days in the inbox — or 7 days once dismissed.
  • Client portal visit records, after 180 days.

The privacy policy lists everything we hold and why.
